Food forest dream

In April of this year, Huang Jun-nan (黃俊男) traveled from the west coast to this 2.5 acre site in the mountains of Taiwan’s Hai'an Range. Reflecting on the state of Taiwan’s agricultural industry, Huang is sowing the seeds of hope and love in this former banana plantation. Huang, whose theory of natural farming is based on harmony with nature and mutualism, hopes to build a food forest on the site. More than just a pioneer, Huang’s determination to hold firm to his ideals makes him a true guardian.
