Ren-Xue graduates (52nd graduation ceremony at Yun Shui Elementary School)

Zhong Ren-Xue (鍾仁學), who suffers from muscular dystrophy, graduated from Chiayi’s Yun Shui Elementary School this June. Ren-Xue has been suffering from this rare congenital disorder since he was just five years old. However, with the help of his family, classmates and teachers, over a period of six years, he slowly transformed his frustration and courageously faced the situation.

Ren-Xue has a strong and healthy elder brother who has already graduated to junior high school. Unfortunately, his Vietnamese mother and Taiwanese father are already divorced, leaving his grandma and father to shoulder the responsibility of bringing up Ren-Xue. In order to take care of Ren-Xue, his father Zhong Fu-Tong (鍾福銅), who is a farmer, is limited to farming his own orchard, which has influenced the family’s financial situation. With Ren-Xue about to begin his new life in junior high school, teachers and students at his school wished him happiness and a good education for the future.

患有肌肉萎縮症的鍾仁學，六月從嘉義縣沄水國小畢業了，他是罕見疾病「赫氏肌肉先天不良」症患者，五歲發病迄今，從失落到勇敢面對，六年來他在家人、同學和師長的陪伴下，走過漫漫長路。仁學有一個哥哥，身強體壯，已升上國中，父親以務農維生，母親是越南人，但雙親已經離異，照顧仁學的工作就落到阿嬤和爸爸的身上。為了照顧仁學，父親鍾福銅只能在自家果園從事農作，家裡經濟也因而受到影響。未來，仁學將開始國中新生活，同學與師長也都祝福仁學未來的求學路更寬廣、更平安。
