Pingtung’s Rinari Tribal Village helped settle villagers from Majia Village in Majia Township, Dashe Village in Sandimen Township and Haocha Village in Wutai Township. The majority of residents in the village were engaged in agriculture before moving to Rinari, so on arrival at their new home they faced the problem of having to make a career change. Students from National Taipei University and The National Taiwan University of Science and Technology formed a volunteer group called ‘Love You Rinari.’

With the hope of attracting more foreign and domestic tourists to visit the area, the volunteers used their English skills to translate the Rinari website into English and provide tours in English. Additionally, in order to enhance Rinari’s visibility in the tourist sector, the volunteers also shot a film of the area and designed promotional material.
