Dapu Dance

Dancers dressed in black stood upon Gongyi Road, Miaoli County, adjacent to the original site of Zhang Pharmacy. A solitary dancer first inspected the only remaining wall of the pharmacy, before walking towards the intersection of Gongyi Road and Renai Road, where a line of other dancers awaited. The is Xiao Zi-han Dance Troup’s (蕭紫菡舞蹈劇場) piece titled ‘Land Plan’, a performance provoked by the Dapu land expropriation case. People followed the dancers to the area around the Zhu family residence (one of the four families affected by the case) and the vacant plot of the family of Huang Fu-ji (黃福記). Together, everyone stood in solidarity against the government’s forced land expropriation.

Xiao Zi-han Dance Troup’s ‘Land Plan’, was formerly performed in Taipei’s Huaguang Community. Composer of the piece, Xiao Zi-han, said that all of the dancers, including herself, were first and foremost citizens, then dancers. Before the performance, dancers spent some time learning about the land from locals and listening to the heartfelt voices of the local farmers and residents, who in the process of merely trying to protect their homeland and safeguard their simple lives, felt the full weight of the government’s iron fist.

Zhang Yuan-hao (張元豪), son of the now deceased Zhang Pharmacy owner, Zhang Sen-wen (張森文) as well as his wife Peng Hsiu-chun(彭秀春), all attended the performance. A few days previous, after Taichung High Administrative Court ruled against the Ministry of the Interior, Peng Hsiu-chun, the wife of Chang Sen-wen, requested that a 20 square meter house be build on the now vacant site. Xiao Zi-han said that the Dapu expropriation case had yet to be fully resolved, and the public should stay focused on the situation.

大埔之舞

黑衣人舞者站在苗栗縣公義路上，沿著張藥房原址，先檢視了張藥房僅剩的一面牆，接著走向與公義路交會的仁愛路上，一排黑衣人舞者佔據在路上。這是【蕭紫菡舞蹈劇場－－土地計劃】的演出，他們為大埔徵收議題而舞，民眾也隨著舞者的腳步，來到大埔四戶之一的朱家附近，以及黃福記家旁的空地，一同站在這些被政府強徵的土地上聲援。

【蕭紫菡舞蹈劇場－－土地計劃】曾在台北市華光社區演出，土地計劃召集人蕭紫菡說，她與舞者們都是先當一個公民再當舞者。演出前都要花時間到當地與在地居民接觸，向生活在土地上的民眾學習，聆聽農民種田、百姓護家的心聲，如此簡單的生活卻被政府以國家暴力對待。

在大埔的這場表演，張藥房已逝主人張森文之子張元豪及妻子彭秀春皆有參與演出。大埔強拆案日前台中高等行政法院更一審判內政部敗訴，張藥房主人彭秀春要求原地重建六坪大的房子。蕭紫菡也表是大埔徵收案還沒解決，呼籲大眾持續關注。
