Changhua’s ‘Your Shoot’ – beauty of Hanbao wetland ecology

On March 30, the first PeoPo ‘Your Shoot’ of this year kicked off in Changhua’s Hanbao (漢寶) wetlands. Bordering Hanbao wetlands is Taiwan’s largest intertidal mudflats, home to an abundance of local agricultural and fishing industries that attract large numbers of migratory birds. This important habitat for migratory birds is considered the most intact eco-educational location in the western region of Taiwan. Using their own filming equipment, participating citizen journalists took this opportunity to record the wonderful story of Hanbao wetlands, and express concern on issues regarding the area’s preservation.

PeoPo公民新聞平台2013年的第一場踹拍Try拍活動，3月30日於彰化的台灣漢寶園舉辦。鄰近的漢寶濕地是台灣最大的泥質潮間濕地，當地豐富的農漁產業，更是讓大批候鳥過境度冬的誘因，成為重要的候鳥棲息地，是西部地區最完整的生態教育場所。而參加活動的公民記者朋友們，紛紛拿著自己的攝影器材，報導記錄漢寶濕地的議題故事，同時也關心漢寶濕地生態保存的問題。
