Autism sufferer Li Xiang-xuan – using music to compose a symphony of life
A flowing musical composition with catchy piano notes and an effortless melody is what autism sufferer Li Xiang-xuan (李尚軒) has managed to achieve. Not long after he was born, it was found that Xiang-xuan had a high level of bilirubin - jaundice – and consequently had to undergo two blood transfusions. After many tests and examinations, he was found to be suffering from G6PD deficiency , which led to brain injury. As a result, Li Xiang-xuan was diagnosed with a very heavy form of autism. However, Li Xiang-xuan was not about to bow down to fate and began relentlessly studying piano, winning numerous awards. Li Xiang-xuan’s style of piano playing exhibits his optimistic attitude to life, and he intends to continue playing, composing his own symphony of life.
