在香火鼎盛，熱鬧繁華的萬華龍山寺周圍，有著台北人印象中熟悉的場景，平鋪在地面的紙板、一袋袋堆疊在旁的物資，這就是無家者賴以為生的全部。他們看盡了來來往往的人們，卻似乎是永遠無法融入的局外人，甚至被眾人貼上許多不光彩的標籤。然而，大家卻很少有機會好好地瞭解無家者，認知他們以街為家的真正原因。
而無家者來到街上其實也並不代表一蹶不振，過著需要人救濟的生活，許多無家者仍努力做舉牌工、清潔工、資源回收等工作。在他們心中，也都有著一個美好的小小心願。若之後遇到無家者除了屏除既有的刻板印象，給予應有的人與人間的尊重外，也不妨和他們聊聊天，或許會有意外的收獲和感動！
