大坡池位於花東縱谷旁，池上平原東側。民國81到87年，因為許多和環境完全不搭水泥工程，曾被列入台灣首惡十大工程之一。經過整理復育後，人為干擾大量降低，濕地生態完整，已被列為國家重要溼地之一。去年樂賞音樂教育基金會董事長游昭明主動向池上鄉公所提出委託管理的企畫及經費，將原本閒置的大坡池風景區管理室，改造成「樂賞大坡池音樂館」，除了讓民眾享受大坡池的寧謐之美，也陶醉在古典樂的迷人樂音中，相信大坡池將在金城武樹之外，掀起一波兼具生態與人文內涵的新風潮。
就讓我們跟著樂賞大坡池音樂館館長邱柔愷的介紹，一窺音樂館的廬山真面目。
Idle building on Dapochih Wetland transformed into hub for classical music
Dapochih Wetland is located on the eastern side of the East Rift Valley. Numerous concrete developments between 1992 and 1998 left Chishang with some of the worst building projects in the country. Fortunately, after complete restoration and a significant reducton of human disturbance, the area’s wetland ecology has recovered and is now listed as one of the most important wetlands in the country.
Last year Poco A Poco Music Education Foundation approached Chishang Township Office with an offer to fund and manage the originally idle Dapochih Scenic Area Management Office, transforming it into Dapochih Music Hall. In additon to providing people with an opportunity to enjoy the tranquility of Dapochih Wetland, visitors can also revel in the enchanting sound of classical music.
