The people of Siaolin will forever be part of the village

Although three years have passed since the Typhoon Morakot disaster, an annual night vigil that beckons back Siaolin villagers and friends from far and wide, will ensure the story of Siaolin is etched in the memory of villagers forever. On interviewing some Siaolin villagers about the terrible events of the Typhoon Morakot disaster, it became clear to the citizen journalist that even after three long years, thinking back to that time still aroused great fear and sadness in the villagers.

八八水災三年後，小林人藉由每年一度的夜祭，招回在外的遊子與安眠在小林村的親朋相聚，古早與往後的故事都將持續流傳在小林人的記憶中。公民記者也訪問小林村民，回憶八八水災當時土石流的狀況，雖然已經歷時三年，想起來還是令人膽戰心驚。
